Poems Along the Road

The Two Bears
We’re two travelling bears
And we don’t have a care
As we travel Australia
On our carved wooden chair
Stuck to the dash
With our safety belts on
Can’t see where we’re going
But can see where we’ve gone
We’ve been to the Gulf
Cooktown and The Alice
From the West to the East
In our little green palace
Tasmania, Winton
And Darwin and Broome
Watched the Stairway
To the Moon
Meekatharra, Mount Magnet
Exmouth and Cue
Kununurra and Litchfield
But not Kakadu
We’ve been around
And we’ve seen a lot
From the freezing cold
To the burning hot
We’re getting faded
And our seat’s not safe
We slid off this morning
And fell on our face
But Kay’s fixed the BluTac
And stuck us back on
Still can’t see where we’re going
But we know where we’ve gone šŸ»šŸ»
